At Stonyfield Farm Corporate Offices, dozens of materials were studied for their "lifetime" impact on the environment. Conservation birch flooring, granite countertops, floor tiles from recycled car windshields, toilet partitions from recycled beverage containers, and recycled rubber entry flooring were some of the winners. This million-dollar renovation of warehouse space was completed sending only 6 cubic yards of rubbish to a landfill. (Mostly sweepings and lunch break packaging.)
