Common Sense: 

Over 20,000 cubic yards of ledge were blasted on-site. Half of the ledge was donated to the town of Greenfield Public Works department and the rest was crushed on site for use on an accessible hiking trail and also for new access roads.

Description: 

The Maintenance Facility / Skills Center involved construction of a new 20,200 sf facility with twelve-inch insulated masonry bearing walls and a structural steel frame.  The exterior metal siding was designed to match the siding at the new adjacent Wood Chip Plant.  The roofing consisted of flat roof with internal drains and an EPDM membrane roofing system.  The sitework consisted of blasting approximately 12,000 cubic yards of ledge.

MacMillin has completed several other buildings on the campus including a therapy pool, treatment rooms, a cafeteria, a library and an auditorium.
