Elliot Hospital Women’s and Children’s Wings

Natal Intensive Care Unit, Labor, Delivery & Recovery Wing and Maternity Wing

"The Maternity Unit would like to recognize MacMillin for their collaboration with the maternity staff during the renovation project. They were outstanding when it came to the needs of our patients during the long months of renovations and construction. Completing renovations around a full house of newly delivered mothers and newborns was a difficult task but, MacMillin continually communicated with the nursing staff and planned their daily projects around the needs of the unit."

Common Sense:

The renovation to the NICU, LDR and maternity wings required multiple phases and a "pod-by-pod" approach to completely segregate the construction activity from patients, visitors and staff. MacMillin's staff had to respond immediately to emergencies, ceasing all activity and potential movement or noise that could affect a patient's critical care.

Completion Date:

2003
