MacMillin provided construction management services for the new 4,500 sf Sophia’s Hearth Family Center. The building’s energy efficiency is a result of an extremely tight building envelope and proper solar orientation. Materials were locally sourced and contain no or low volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Sophia’s Hearth Family Center is a gathering place for families with young children that is active both in supporting families through direct service programs, and as a training center for professionals preparing to provide the highest quality care for families and young children.
